CrazedPhotoMom » Dance http://www.theledvinas.com/blog Sun, 05 Dec 2010 17:37:09 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.9.2 en hourly 1 Oh I Wanna Dance With Somebody… http://www.theledvinas.com/blog/2010/01/oh-i-wanna-dance-with-somebody/ http://www.theledvinas.com/blog/2010/01/oh-i-wanna-dance-with-somebody/#comments Mon, 01 Feb 2010 00:46:05 +0000 admin http://www.theledvinas.com/blog/?p=1415 I’ve been wanting to enroll the girls in dance for the last couple of years now and in the fall a flyer came home from school with Nate about a dance class not too far from here (20 mins or so).  I called and talked to the instructor and at the time, she was still trying to put together the pre-school class and said she’d call me in a week.  I didn’t hear anything from her, so I called and left a message.  Nothing.  I called and left another message and still nothing.  I finally gave up and I’m glad I did.  After Chrismtas, I started getting serious about finding a good studio and I narrowed it down to 2 and finally chose one.  They were extremely nice and got me all set up in no time.  The girls have been asking every couple of days how many days until they start their class. 

Maddie had me a bit concerned because while she LOVES to dance and has always shown interest in taking classes, as the day grew near she didn’t say much about it.  She didn’t want to try on her outfit so I could take pics a few weeks ago and even once told me she didn’t want to go.  So I wasn’t really sure how she was going to do.  All the way to the studio on Saturday morning, she kept asking us questions like “who’s going to take me into the class?”  and “I don’t know HOW to dance!”  and “are you going to pick me up?”.  I have no idea what this poor little girl was thinking but it seemed like she thought we were just going to drop her at the door and not make sure she was going to be ok. LOL  I think it’s probably because we told her that we weren’t allowed to be IN her class while they were teaching it.  Parents are allowed to watch from the lobby through the doors but not go in where the class is being taught.

Joe took Nate to wash the car while I hung around in the lobby watching and taking a few pics with my camera phone.  Joe took some before we left home and then he took a couple from the doorway before class officially started. 

I’m SUPER happy to report that Maddie and Lexi both loved the class and can’t wait to go back!  Maddie seems to be over any anxiety she was having regarding what the class was going to be like and said she can’t wait to go back next week!!  I’m very excited because Maddie seems to have a little bit of natural ability and would love for to her choose to continue with it.
