And Lexi Lou Follows Suit!

Ever since Maddie got her hair cut last weekend, she’s been talking pretty consistently about getting her hair cut too.  At first I didn’t believe her…I really thought she was just doing it because she saw the attention Maddie was getting.  But when she didn’t let up over the course of a week, I figured I’d take her in.  She wanted it cut exactly like Maddie’s but honestly, I didn’t think it would work for her as well as it did Maddie.  Instead, we went with a lot shorter (at least 5-6″) in a bob.  I absolutely LOVE it.  She’s had it cut like this before but it’s been several years.  Anyway, here’s the before/after pics!  I need to get better pics tomorrow but for now…

Maddie’s New Do

I’ve been trying to convince Maddie to get her hair cut short since before school started and she just wasn’t having any of that.  One of the little girls in her classroom has a super cute short haircut and when I casually mentioned to her that I thought K’s haircut was cute, she was all about getting her hair cut!  So I took her in last week and had it cut!  I think they took off about 6 or 8″!!

Here’s the before/after shot!!

And a side and back view!

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-yaa!

Hello?  Is anyone out there?  Has anyone been reading?  Other than family, does ANYONE stop by here anymore?  If you stop by, leave me a comment! :)    I know I haven’t updated in forever but things have been a tad busy!

Everyone’s finally getting settled into a routine now that school has started.  I really didn’t think life could get any busier than having 3 young kids at home.  Boy was I mistaken!!  Now that all 3 kids are in school, it seems like I have even more to do!  I’ve been volunteering in Maddie’s classroom once a week and either this week or next, I’ll be heading into Lexi’s classroom as well.  And shortly after that, I’ll be in Nate’s class too!  That fills my days…well that and housework, laundry and errands.

And now our nights are filling up as well.  The girls have been taking dance for almost a year.  We’ve been telling Nate during that time that we’d let him try karate here in town.  Finally a month or so ago, he started showing real interest and asking us about it.  We took him in for a free lesson and he loved it.  So now he’s going twice a week!  He seems to really enjoy it – and I sure hope so since we had to commit for a year!!  I was really shocked that they expect a 7 year old to commit for such a long period but Nate assured me that he wanted to do it.  So far, so good!  Here are a few more pics from his first night of class!
