It’s been several months since I’ve updated on me and my weight loss. The short answer is there’s been no more loss other than the lbs that I’d put on during the holidays. I’m back down to where I was before Christmas but I’ve been at a stand still for what seems like forever. I’m still eating about the same amount but my exercise has increased quite a bit since having my own home gym. I’m doing anywhere between an hour and a half and two hours a day. I do cardio either on the bike, elliptical or treadmill and I try to get in at least 45 mins to 90 mins per day on that. I also like to try to get in 30 minutes of the Bowflex per day, including a couple of hundred crunches with about 90 lbs of resistance.
It’s frustrating to work so hard and not see any significant loss of pounds or inches. But I press on because even if I don’t see the loss in numbers, I know that I’m doing all that I can to be healthy. This is without a doubt the healthiest and most in shape I’ve ever been in my life. I’m proud of that and love to see that it’s rubbing off on the girls because I see them making healthier choices in their every day eating.
So I thought I’d post some pics. In the last couple of weeks, I’ve had a number of compliments from several people on how it looks like I’ve lost more weight. I wish that were the case but I do love the nice things they’ve said. Makes me feel like the hard work put in is worth it.
Anyway – here’s a before pic on the left (taken in 1998) and a photo taken about a year ago (Easter of 2009). There’s about 65 lbs difference between those two pics.

And here are some photos from this weekend – almost a year from the Easter photo of last year. It’s around 40/50 lbs difference between that pic and the following set of pics. Oh and just an FYI for anyone wondering about my lack of hair. I have psoriasis and when I was in high school/early 20s, my scalp suffered the worst and it basically scarred making it nearly impossible for the hair to regrow. It used to bother me a lot (and certain days it still does) but for the most part, I figure I could have much worse problems than no hair.
I kind of wish it would just fall out all together so I didn’t have to take the time to blow dry it and do it each day! LOL

I hate the rolls of fat around my mid-section…but what can you do? I’m doing a couple of hundred crunches a day plus some trunk rotations with the Bowflex in hopes of shrinking that down some.
