Mystic Seaport

On Sunday, our family met up with the Stebulis Family and headed to Mystic, CT and the Mystic Seaport. Joe, the kids and I had never been there so Matt & Sarah were our tour guides and we had a great time! Lots of pics so hold on…

This ship was dry docked (think that’s what Matt called it) to be repaired.  There were stairs on the back part of the ship where you could go up top.  It was enormous!

We tried all day to get a good photo of the kids…as you can see, they weren’t cooperative.

A pretty boat

The best and most accurate photo ever.  Maddie on the left with her 4 year old I’m such a poser look, Lexi with her squinty eyes and huge smile look at me look and Natey with the hurry it up look!

And Miss ‘Tude…not sure what her problem was but she wasn’t happy.

And the best pic of the day…kids on a boat looking at other boats!

And the kids were exhausted by the time we left!  Even Natey who rarely sleeps in the car anymore, fell asleep!  What’s that on his shirt you ask?  Drool!  He takes after his daddy!!!

Spring Photo Shoot – May 2009

Yeah, I’m back tracking a bit and posting some photos from May.  These were some fantastic shots that Joe took in early May.  We always try to do a spring photo shoot with the kids somewhere around Nate’s birthday.   This year, we took them back to Cathedral of the Pines in Jaffrey, NH where we’ve taken them several times before.  It’s where this shot was taken in April 2006, when the girls were just 2 years old.

See, I have this thing about photos of kids being taken in fields…and I’m not really particular about what kind of fields.  Fields of weeds, fields of hay, fields of corn…in this case, it’s fields of dandelions (aka weeds).  Here are some of my favorites of the dandelion shots.

Nate was in his “if I’m asked to smile I’m going to give the fakest smile on the planet” stage so this was the most natural shot of him from the day.

And they all got the chance to do this – it was the best part!  Here is Maddie with her feet off the ground!

This is why we don’t take photos of all 3 of them together!  Mr. Bug-Eyed Natey and the Squinty Twins!

The ONLY way to take a photo of all 3 of them – when they’re not looking at the camera!!

Hillsborough Balloon Fest Parade 2009

Last weekend was our towns hot air balloon festival and on Sunday they had a parade.  While we’ve lived here for 5 years, this is the first parade we’ve attended and now I kind of wish we’d have gone in previous years.  We walked with our neighbors up to the center of town – Joe and Toby pulling wagons with kids, and Angie and I tagging along behind to make sure no kids were lost in the process (there ARE some big ass hills between our house and the center of town after all).  Nate did surprisingly well with the super loud fire trucks so that was a huge thing for us!  Anyway, here are a few pics!

The whole gang hanging out before the parade started!  Natey, Lexi Lou lookin’ cool with her purple shades, Maddie, Adreanna and Abby!
